About St. Andrew's
St. Andrew’s is a Christian congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of the Rio Grande, The Episcopal Church USA, and the World Wide Anglican Communion. This means our prayers, concerns, and outreach focus on local, state, regional and international ministries. We live our faith as a modern community through Anglican and Episcopal traditions.
Scripture is the primary source of our worship together. The Book of Common Prayer consists of about 85% scripture. As a result, in our worship we literally pray scripture as well as read and listen to scripture. The scripture readings, commonly called “Propers,” each Sunday average 40+ verses from both the Old and New Testaments, including the Gospels and the Psalms.
We live our faith as a present community through familiar Anglican and Episcopal traditions centering on community, worship, prayer, spirituality, and outreach for today’s world.
